Robert Emmett
Vice President of Operations - TECO
Robert Emmett serves as Vice President of Operations at Toledo Engineering Co., Inc. (TECO), providing executive leadership across the company’s core operational functions. He directs the Project Management, Engineering, PMO and Construction departments, ensuring operational excellence, disciplined execution, and consistent delivery of high-performance solutions for TECO’s global client base.
With more than three decades of experience in the glass industry, Mr. Emmett offers a rare combination of strategic leadership and deep technical expertise. A Mechanical Engineer with a Government Certificate of Competency (Factories), he spent 20 years in the glass industry in South Africa, mainly in float and rolled glass manufacturing, before joining TECO in 2012. His international career includes leadership roles in the United Kingdom and the United States, where he relocated in 2018 to support TECO’s continued growth.
Mr. Emmett has led large-scale greenfield and brownfield projects across rolled, float, container, and fiberglass manufacturing facilities, with responsibilities spanning design, construction, commissioning, startup, and production optimization. His operational background includes senior-level production management and extensive knowledge of plant maintenance and lifecycle asset management.
As Vice President of Operations, Mr. Emmett plays a key role in advancing TECO’s technical capabilities and innovation strategy. He collaborates closely with the Engineering team through the design and development committee, helping guide the evolution of new technologies and process improvements that strengthen TECO’s leadership in the global glass industry.
