James Uhlik
VP of Technical Services - TECO
Mr. James Uhlik has been employed by Toledo Engineering Co., Inc. since 2007. Jim has been in the glass industry since 1979, where prior to his employment by TECO, he was employed by AFG Industries as Engineering Manager, Anchor Hocking as Director of Engineering, Guardian Industries as Engineering and Process Manager, SCHOTT as Senior Manager Float Technology and at Gerresheimer as Assistant Plant Manager.
At each company Jim held both engineering and operating responsibilities, achieving experience in float, tableware, specialty and borosilicate container pharma glass production. In particular, he has provided technical direction for the design, construction and successful operation of Europe’s only TFT float glass production line for ultra-thin glass, located in Germany. He also designed, constructed and beta tested an experimental 2 MTD specialty glass tin bath in the U.S.
Jim is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He attended Rutgers University where he pursued a Masters Degree in Business Administration and holds three US patents, with other applications pending.
In his role as VP of Technical Services, Jim is responsible for providing TECO’s technical service and sales interface with customers worldwide.
