Edward Ferreira
Vice President Technical Director - TECO
Edward Ferreira serves as Technical Director at Toledo Engineering Co., Inc. (TECO), where he leads the engineering team responsible for delivering comprehensive engineering solutions across the company’s projects. His oversight includes fabrication and construction drawings, material specifications, and detailed material lists, ensuring all engineering deliverables meet TECO’s standards for technical excellence, constructability, and project execution.
Mr. Ferreira brings extensive experience in glass furnace design and operation, with more than 13 years dedicated to modeling glass furnaces using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). His expertise in thermal performance, fluid flow, and combustion modeling supports the development of efficient, reliable, and high-performing furnace designs tailored to client and process requirements.
In addition to his furnace specialization, Mr. Ferreira has significant experience in rolled glass production and process technology, providing a well-rounded perspective that bridges engineering design and manufacturing operations. Through his leadership, Mr. Ferreira plays a key role in advancing TECO’s technical capabilities and ensuring the successful execution of complex glass industry projects.
Mr. Ferreira joined TECO in 2017 as a Furnace Design Engineer within the Technical Group and later served as Manager of Engineering, overseeing the company’s engineering operations and leading multidisciplinary teams supporting complex glass plant design projects worldwide. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fluids and Thermoflow, and a Master of Science in Engineering in Materials and Metallurgy.
